I had such a great response ...I thought I'd better up load the second video. This was the tail end of a pod of 50 whales. For the history buffs, this is the exact spot where they set the harpoon up in 1964 to catch Moby Doll. She was the first Killer Whale in captivity. Sad story, they dragged her by the harpoon and rope back to Vancouver and she lived for a few weeks. It was then that they realized you could keep big things in little cement fish tanks.

  • Wow, what an amazing experience. I am so glad these young children were able to see this!

Peter was my PE teaching back in the day :) Cool to see you still working with kids and being the one to expose them to such awesome experiences! I am glad I attended a Waldorf school growing up, gave me tons of great ventures!

  • These videos are amazing.

I work on one of the whale watching vessels that takes tours in the Gulf and San Juan Islands, and when ever we see the orcas swimming past East Point, I always imagine what an amazing moment it would be to see them swim past as you sit on the rocks. It does not get any better than this, you are so fortunate to have this experience.
