***Read Explanation in Description First***

I recommend reading the description first, then watch. If you want to see any big super jumps performed then check out some Master Thief Sprints of mine.

Have you ever wanted to perform the "super jump" glitch that i figured out, this video will tell you everything you need to know about it.

To perform the "super jump" all you need is three things, 1. Ground to jump on 2. Water or outside boundary limit (like in the video) 3. The ability to recover from water or boundary limit thing, you get it in one of the vaults for collecting all the clues

Next, you should know what makes this glitch work and why it does.
In the video if you watch when i land on the ground, you will see dust when my feet touch. If you keep watching you will notice that sometimes dust doesn't appear. If dust does appear, then the game has just registered that spot as the last spot i was standing on. If dust doesn't appear, then the game thinks that Sly hasn't touched the ground. When dust doesn't appear then Sly has jumped right before he actually touches the ground.

Also grabbing on a ledge, or standing up straight on your "tippy-toes" does not count as touching the ground. Standing up straight on your "tippy-toes" occurs automatically when one is standing on or next to a ledge.

When you jump into water or the boundary limit in the air, you will be shot back to the last spot you were standing on. So if you are able to jump across a portion of ground without making dust, or touching it, and you land in water, it will shoot you back to the last spot you were standing in.

Now to perform. There are a few different ways of doing so, some are easier than others. When you are starting off you should definitely use your slow-motion ability (you don't need it, but it helps) . Just jump into the air and click "triangle" to use slow-mo. When approaching the ground you can do one of three things: 1. You can use you index finger to click really fast on the "x" button to ensure a jump right before you touch 2. You can swing your cane in the air right before you hit the ground. This gives you lots of time to jump because you will not make dust until the swing is over (makes sense if you watch the video). 3. You can use both of these methods

After you have jumped the distance you like, jump into the nearest body of water or boundary air limit thing, and weeeeeee!

If you still don't understand feel free to message me or comment on the video

**This has cut/glitch has been named(by me) "The Mother Of All Cuts Of Sly Cooper". xD

  • i had a question too but ran out of letters haha. when you do the cane swing to extend the air time, this does make it a lot easier to do this trick, but does it slow you down? as far as like going for the optimal time is it something you want to avoid once you get better at it?

  • @toopskittles no it doesn't slow you down at all...... as long as you are at full speed when you make your first jump, it isnt any slower. The only time you are not at full speed is when you jump from a ledge, then your jump height and length, are restricted. Watch restricted ledge jump at 0:47

  • haha my friend and i spent forever trying to figure out how to do this after seeing your videos, and eventually his girlfriend just flat out said "it works when the dust isn't there when he lands" :P but we still never thought to use the cane swing or ledge grab, so thanks for the tips!

  • @toopskittles Woops, my response to your comment wasn't responded to you. You'll have to come to the page to read it. Unless you are already here.

  • nice work with the annotations it definitely helps. couple things, the annotation at :27 is missing a verb or something. secondly, for noobs like me and basically everyone but you haha it helps to know that if you have the slow-mo upgrade that allows for constant slow-mo, then while you're jumping around if it stays in slow-mo then you're doing it correctly and if time corrects itself you messed up.

  • @toopskittles Thanks for the tips, it is hard to tell what is wrong with it since it is my video. I will make a few adjustments. And by the way using the knockout dive has no advantages, i just put it there because....... :D

  • @TrevorsaurusRex i understand it and am a lot more consistent at it thanks to your description. there are a couple parts in the video that get confusing as to what you're accomplishing with the different moves (i.e. the knockout dive) but the description is great. i know they're a pain but this video would be awesome with annotations at those parts, and to point out the dust perhaps?

  • I'm glad to know i atleast helped one person out, that is what i was trying to accomplish. But i don't really have many subscribers so i didn't think many people would be watching it. Do you think i explained it well? were able to understand and perform it?
