I completely agree, my brother runs a computer repair shop and 90% of the people that come in have virus and slowdown problems, or they don't know their way around the computer. The only time he has Macs come in is when they want a RAM or hard drive upgrade. Macs are just absolutely fantastic!
On the other hand, people don't want to pay 500 bucks on top of internet to check e-mail and facebook. Netbooks are made specifically for those people. and at have the cost of the mac mini.
I cannot argue on viruses, but with my experience with computers, I have never gotten a single virus. I am absolutely addicted with tech, and never have I gotten one. Even without Antivirus. I never experienced any glitches or bugs in vista, I never even got a service pack for it.
But most people don't give 2 shits about "getting more out of their system." What YOU fail to realize is that something like 80% of the computer buyer's market are people who barely know where the "power" button is. They want to check their e-mail, go on Facebook, and watch videos on YouTube. Everything else, they don't care about. Macs are GREAT for that, because of their simplicity, ease of use, simple GUI, and lack of virus vulnerability. Ergo, Macs are better for the vast majority.
I didn't say anything vague. Let me repeat myself. "I have many friends who are borderline retarded WHEN IT COMES TO COMPUTERS"
A Mac mini may be a great system, don't get me wrong, I just think that for 500 dollars, I could get even more out of my money by spending it elsewhere.
Rich? I have 2 Mac's & I'm not "rich". I'm just not poor. If that's asking too much from people, maybe you should aim higher in life. If you can't scrape together $499 for a Mac Mini, then maybe you have bigger worries than buying a new computer so you can talk shit on YouTube.
I could go WAY into depth about Vista's GUI, but if you don't see it, no amount of me talking about it will explain it. Not everyone has good design standards.
You have retarded friends? That says a lot about you, btw.
Thanks for judging me based on having retarded friends. even though I was speaking about there technical knowledge. Shows a lot about you.
I don't believe that a mac mini gives the amount that you woul expect in $500 worth of hardware. Why get that when I can build a gaming PC that will still run anything perfectly on todays standards?
I may not examine Vista's GUI a lot, but I though it was very well done for the average user. My only complaints were harddrive space, and memory requirements.
ROFL, yeah, because I'm supposed to just KNOW what you mean by things when you say something as vague as "my friends are borderline retarded." Right.
The company you keep speaks a volumes about who are you and what your ideals are. If you deny that, you're just a borderline retarded as your "friends" are.
Mac mini's are a great buy, and they offer MORE than enough for the average consumer (who make up the majority of the consumer market). Mine has lasted 4 years without a hiccup. Not one.
Parental Control, first of its kind MY ASS! Apple has been shooting that shit out of their asses forever, and Bill Gates is like, I PWN BITCH, I HAZ PARENTAL CONTROL lololol
