Perhaps Kerry is a genius. His comment has brought the focus on Iraq to the front. The Republicans here on YouTube and elsewhere are taking the bait and getting their butts kicked (by the truth).

and I think those numbers are just from the CURRENT occupation. Not the first one (when we should have taken Saddam out) or the years of malnourishment, starvation, and lack of medical supplies and facilities by the US sponsored food for oil program. I fucking hate Bush.

Saddam committed his worst crimes against the kurds in '83, with the full financial and military support of the US. The US and GB killed over 100,000 civilians from sanctions imposed on Iraq from '91-'03. The US bombing campaign and military occupation from '03 to the present has killed over 650,000 Iraqi civilians. I don't blame Bush though, he's just a puppet, like Kerry. Kerry isn't surrounded by neo-cons who invade weak nations though.

Best estimate by human rights groups: 300,000 over 30 years. During which time he was kept in power and given WMD by the United States. Remember the Reagan response to Hallabja? How many are estimated to have died in our invasion and occupation: 655,000.

Do you really believe we invaded because Saddam was a murderer? BTW, that was a long time ago, and we did nothing then. Many more have died as a result of our bombings than would otherwise have died. Many more will continue to die in the civil war we created.
