  • I lived in Bremerton for about 3 months and didn't like it,so I moved back to Seattle.

the town is kind of boring especially after dark, but it has breathtaking views around it.

Bainbridge is a lot nicer let alone poulsbo and Kingston.Silverdale is alright.

  • hey kid stop fucking complaining asshole if dont want to live here get the fuck out theres the high way right there motherfucker

  • @gtc1961

You got on the E in the same month and year I did. I left for tech school in Sept., 1981.

  • @gtc1961

I bought some tapes in that place myself.

  • @BoyScout1960 That's sad....I was too young to go into any bars off base. I spent a lot of money in that used record/tape store right outside trhe main gate.

They tore everything down in order to create a traffic pattern that would feed the new ferry terminal. Additionally, I think the city government wanted to shed Bremerton's reputation as a "Navy town" and try to attract the yuppie types via gentrification.

I remember all the little shops along Washington St. that were torn down when the condos were built-- condos the developers couldn't give away. They auctioned them.

I remember many a drunken night in the Crows Nest Tavern!

  • @BoyScout1960 I'm pretty sure the Wheelhouse is gone. They tore down everything in that area and made a park or something. The whole place is completely different from when we were there in the early 80's, especially right outside the main gate, the McDonalds is even gone!
