This is a performance of Andrea Gibson's powerful poem, "Say Yes" at the Glenelg Country School's annual Barlow Public Speaking Competition. With apologies to Ms. Gibson, the poem was edited so as to meet the requirements of the competition. The performer is a sixth grader at GCS. The sound is low so lean in close.
What a kid! She's my little sister's good friend and an awesome kid as well. Definitely rooting for you next year in the Barlow. Keep it up, we're all so proud of you!

A lovely performance and eloquent testimony that the future is still bright. No, brighter than the current discord portends.

This is really, really incredible. I love this poem and she did a great job performing it.

What's "See-Thru"? This girl is my daughter (proud to say), and the pressure is now on to find next year's poem for performance. Any suggestions?

You need to tell this girl that Andrea saw this! She posted it on her Twitter saying it made her day! :D
