Erich Zimny Racing Admin Charles Town Races

Erich Zimny, a 2007 grad of the RTIP graduate program, is Racing Administrator at Charles Town Races & Slots in West Virginia. His job involves him in overseeing many aspects of the business - racing, mutuals, marketing and regulatory compliance. He worked as an attorney in New York City before attending RTIP. He says one of the most outstanding parts of the program is meeting people in the industry at the Symposium. One of the best parts of the Symposium is the mentor lunch where, as a student, Erich met and spoke with a member of the legal team at Churchill Downs, Inc. So the best times he recalls were classes with guest speakers, attending the Symposium, and meeting other students with a passion for horse racing. Erich says that RTIP is the way to go if you want to start a career in the race track industry.
