A montage of LDS missionaries returning home from their 2-year missions. The song is called "Coming Home" sung by Tim Gates, from the album "Trek: A Nashville Tribute to the Pioneers". (This video shows elders coming home from their missions, in honor of my five sons. When my daughter goes on her mission, I will make a video of sister missionaries). You can visit the Nashville Tribute Band's website at www.nashvilletributeband.com

  • Im crying and I'm not a Mormon. Touching video. The holes in their shoes got me, not to mention the sacrifice these young men make!

  • @sgjudie Thank you for your kind post! Many people don't realize that these young men leave their homes, families, work, and education for two-years, at their own expense, getting sent all over the world (they do not get to choose where they go), learning a new language, working 15-hours a day to tell people about Jesus Christ. They also serve people by mowing their lawns, planting gardens, helping people move, or just doing whatever work that needs to be done. They are amazing!

  • i can't watch this without crying my eyes out my brother left October 5th 2011 to go to Washington for 2 years and i am only 11 :'(

  • @psgymkids I have a daughter who is 12, and her older brother is on a mission in New Zealand right now. I know it can be sad when they're gone. But the time really does go by fast, and before you know it, you'll be hugging him hello!!

  • This was THE best video I've ever seen!!! Words can't tell you how much I miss my son. He's been out 7 months now serving in the South Africa Durban mission and I can't wait until it's my turn to pick him up. Thank you soooo much for this awesome video!! I absolutely love the song. What album is it from?

  • @hhuadiesel Thank you! Our sons have been out about the same length of time! Today is my son's 8-month anniversary, serving in New Zealand. The song is called "Coming Home", sung by Tim Gates on the album "Trek: A Nashville Tribute to the Pioneers" (by the Nashville Tribute Band).

  • Thank you for the video! It was so touching. I'm not LDS and I was crying so hard. I can't stand the disrespect the missionaries get while they're on their Mission because these men give up two years of their lives to grow closer to God- and I think, that deserves respect! I think it's a great thing these missionaries do! Amazing video!

  • @psgymkids Your brother is a hero... I know it is hard, but be happy for him :D

  • Im an avid fan of David Archuleta since Star Search and for four years now, since AI. I go to all his concerts in the North East and love him for who he is and his heavenly voice. Met him many times. He is a shining example of the Mormon faith. Thanks again supermom6kids.supergrandjudie-sgjudie

  • i'm not mormon, but what they do for their faith is amazing. if the rest of us would use half the effort these young people use Jesus would be famous. glad you all made it home.

  • @DogLoverSoprano Yup i know and i experienced that when i attended some meetings at LDS Church. Missionaries really taught me a lot and i owe them those. I have so much respect from them and to all the missionaries around the Globe,I salute them. But sadly, I have this situation which my family don't like much as me seeing the missionaries for some reason maybe we're Catholic but I love learning from them and they very good influence as well as a 23yr old man.

  • My son has been gone on his mission just over 1 year now. His brother will turn 19 soon and is preparing to go on a mission as well. He showed me this video and it brought back a flood gate of memories from one year ago. We both cried like babies and then he gave me a huge hug. This made me cry more :) We miss his brother but have witnessed and experienced blessings and miracles because of his faithful service. I can't wait to greet both of my sons when they return from serving! Thanks.
