On Thursday, Dec. 10, AOL led by its Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, Tim Armstrong, visited the New York Stock Exchange and rang The Opening BellSM in celebration of the companys spin-off from Time Warner Inc. and listing on the NYSE.
On December 10, AOL commences regular-way trading on the NYSE under the ticker symbol AOL, after it began trading on a when-issued basis on November 24. Under the terms of the AOL spin-off, existing Time Warner Inc. stockholders will receive one share of AOL common stock for every 11 shares of Time Warner common stock they hold on the record date of November 27, 2009. That distribution will occur on December 9, 2009. Time Warners common stock will continue to trade on the NYSE under the symbol TWX
To celebrate this special occasion, Chairman & CEO Tim Armstrong rang the Opening Bell.
