Students Design Custom Computer Desks

Johns Hopkins mechanical engineering majors Olivia Mao, Boyang Li and Eiline Yoon have designed and delivered two custom computer desks to the home of a health care educator who has disabilities. A wooden desk provides handy access to computer and paper files in the bedroom, while a rolling metal cart allows her to work in other parts of her home, including outdoors on the patio. Also, the computers are linked with a wireless system allowing easy access to data. This project was shot and edited by Ruthie Aslan '03.

@iamcixelsyd hmm abit of a expert on racing are we? The lighter the better is a rule?? ok maybe if you were in a red bull race Drag racing speed is king Thrust is king Less drag is king Then light is better ..and that only happens in balance. Not here and there ..if these kids had to think more about the customer and her needs they would of made it ajustable for sitting down and standing up ..Something no one else has said or done
