@irongirl100 At the time, Julianna Rose Mauriello (the actress that they got to play Stephanie) was 13 when the show first aired. My guess would be that one, she'd be easier to work with for each episode (considering that some things in this show I really wouldn't expect some 8 year olds to know), plus, even with a stunt double, it'd be more helpful to have an older kid doing the more athletic stuff.
