Extracting venom from a king cobra at Kentucky Reptile Zoo. This venom is being used in cancer research.

@zeruttin31 First off just because your friend did not like that she was corrected when she miss ID a snake in a video does not make use a circus. If you work in a Lab with venom then you know we collect venom for research and have been doing so for over 30 years. We ship venom all over the world and have been featured on NGO TV , AP and PBS.

This seems like an Awesome job to have. I wouldnt mind working with venomous snakes. But what kinda qualifications do you need to have? What kinda of field do you need to study in? If needed.

Good thing cobras are one of the slowest striking snakes.

@zaheercy The indoor area was too small for the public to watch- we now have a larger area inside so we do not typically take them out any more. This is a pretty old video.

how old where you when you first got intreasted in snakes and other reptiles and how did get involved in your line of work?

@theopat1999 Jim was 6 or so when he first got interested, he got a job extracting from king cobras when he graduated from high school. He was working for a researcher at a university.
