That is true he did tell him to believe on the Lord Jesus, but you then see that they "Spake unto the word of the Lord". vs 33 and he took them the same hour and washed their stripes, and was baptized.
Even in Acts 10: Cornelious received a vision and was told to send for Peter. That he and his household would need to do. in vs 14 he was told to send for Peter who would tell them what to do to be saved. He was a devout man but God had more for him. And he had to follow the way that was set

go to acts ch.16:16-31, you will see that the solider who watch paul and silas seen they were Gods servants and he asked what mut i do to be saved?, paul then said believe in the Lord Jesus Christ!!! also go read the book of Galatians, it talks about believing in Jesus by faith so you can be justified by God, and become righteous like Abraham!!!!!

i have to disagree with you. in acts 2:38, peter was speaking to the jews only. he was not speaking to the gentiles. re-read it.if you still believe this doctrine then read acts ch.10 , peter spoke to cornelius bout Jesus and they receive the Holy Spirit. ? how did he receieve that without being baptized? becuz he believe in Jesus Christ!!!
