thanx for you excellent video..it helps me to visualize what i read now about rated gyros for aeroplanes
-
probably on the table?
its a battery operated dismountable motor which you hold against the groscope spindle (which engages by a little rubber coupling on the motor spindle)
and about 12000RPM
-
@n13nhb where is the motor ? and how many RPM it gives ?
-
its brass... and there is a motor that you spin it up with.
-
how does the copper disc spin ?
-
Each time he makes it rotate, the giroscope try to maintain his original position. It then gives it an angle as seen in the video.

There are only 10 types of people in the world...those who understand Binary..and those who don't...
i don't understand the work of a gyroscope..but liked the sentence above, just to share with you ;-)

i dont get it... what does it do.
Your products are not just science but art. I admire your work.

If I am understanding this, an accelerometer can measure the input torque, and from this the precession around the output axis can be inferred. Question: In application, I thought that to maintain angle you had to integrate a rate.... but seeing this is action it seems that the torque is directly proportional to an angular displacement. Can you clarify?
