I always loved flying TWA. They had the finest stewardess', besides Braniff...remember them? But Eastern also had some beauties.

My father worked for this airline forever til Frank Lorenzo ran it in the ground. Childhood memories of me striking against Eastern, lol!

@neweast1 You are right. Frank Borman added the A300 to Eastern in a try-before-you-buy deal. The initial deal was for 4 A300 aircraft with the option to buy more if Borman was satisfied. Borman, was surprised that an A300 fleet of 25 aircraft was about 25% more fuel efficient than a L1011 fleet of the same size, ans as you said the rest in the Airbus US market entrance is history.

@Medicair14 eastern was the first airline i america to use the a 300 .unions didnt want it but borman acepeted them basically for free from airbus so they could break in to us market the rest is history

Nice vid. L1011 one of the best aircrafts to fly on. I was a courier for 5 years from 1991 to 1996, and I flew several times on Delta's L1011 from Boston to Bermuda and it was awesome! By the way, could you tell me who performs the song on this video?
