also in the book yossi says he tied the raft up incase kevin caught up with him, and that they could make use of it and carry on rafting, where here he says it smashed up. either way its a remarkble story, but if you watch the "i shouldnt be alive" it make karl look like a lunatic, whereas in the book it actually sounds like a good guy, and that hes done everything with best intentions, and that kevin just had it against him because he was used to being alpha male

ive just finished reading the book "lost in the jungle" by yossi. compared to his story here some things dont make sense. 1, he says here that he told markus that he coudlnt go with him and kevin, in the book it says he decided to go with karl, but then markus knew hed be left with kevin, so markus said "i'll go with karl", making it seem like it was markus's idea. 2, in the book yossi says he found the backpack with food, torch, lighter, first aid kit etc, here he says he had nothing.
