  • oh and i think i got 30 knts outa it. :)

  • Hi Mate

It was a 3.5 rv8, the boat was only 14ft! beam was probably around 6ft. this is a jet drive - and have had some fun with her but i would be steering away from them in the future - yes their great for safety and very fun but you get very little control with them! Id be warry of the 4.6 as they had alsorts of head problems ect as your engine will probably be at full throttle for a lot of the time! the imprellor in the jet drive was probably only 20cm diameter and could have been bigger!

  • What capacity RV8 is that, and what stern drive are you using, also whats the ft Length and Beam of the hull? I'm looking in to buying a 18-21ft inboard hull, and equipping it with a Alpha 1 drive and a 4.6 P38 lump, just wonderd what your setup is, and how many knots/mph you get from it with what diameter/pitch prop you've got on the go.

    Many thanks chap!
