David Archuleta - Everybody Wants to Rule the World - Myrtle Beach

The last 5 seconds of this video are some of the most meaningful I ever managed to record. His face, his outstretched arm, his voice, those words. If you watch for nothing else, through somewhat buzzy audio, those last 5 seconds are worth it. David's first performance of one of my favorite songs by one of my favorite bands.

This video rules my life. It shows so many facets of David: the funny look to the audience at 3:09, the adorable little dance at 3:16, the passion & high energy throughout, but especially around 4:15, the lovely thing he does with his voice at 4:27, and, of course, those beautiful last 5 seconds. I love this so much! Thanks, N! :)

I also like this song for some reason. I don't hear it that often but I really find it to sound really pleasant whenever I hear it. I get that really,should I say, cool and soothing sound from the original version and David's. That's probably the reason why I love this song being covered by David. I wonder if people get to request songs from him or something but I'd really love to hear him singing James Morrison's You Make It Real. DA and JM, their songs can sure make me have the best sleep haha

@koko4da ..and the first minute of the song, his voice is so beautiful, then the look of such total happiness on his face as the band gears up, and then he starts grooving...and love that yeah, yeah, yeeeaaahhh....and I love how he came back to center stage for the last line.

Thank you for capturing the speach at the begining for the song. I so love to hear what David feels and thinks about the cover songs he does. Oh wow did he cover this song and blow it out of the water. He owns what he sings!!! Helps those of us not able to be there. :))
