The original Murray Leinster "Giants" novels had a marooned character named Marjorie who was rescued by the Spindrift people. That "Ericka" character you have could represent the Marjorie character,

The novels didn't expand on Marjorie's personality other than she was a passenger on an earlier lost space flight from Cape Town to Seattle and was raised on a farm. Marjorie was rescued by Steve. She was usually scared of giants and got some clothes from Valerie's wardrobe.
