I met up with this guy to take some pictures of his car for a magazine; this is a little example of what his REAL '69 L88 Corvette can do!

This car is the first L88 ordered and delivered new to Canada (of only 3) and the only one to remain in Canada today.

L88 was Chevrolet's only full race-engined and complete race-packaged Supercar. 560+HP, racing gas only, this L88 is one of only 99 1969 4-speeds (M22 "rock-crusher").

This dazzling ultra-rare Daytona Yellow coupe is one of only a handful of factory-built Chevrolets that can hit over 200 MPH!!!

  • @barneyownage talk to any drag racer and they'll use the term "spray", not "nos". talk to anyone who gets their information from Hollywood or YouTube then ya, you'll hear "nos"

  • @barneyownage he's not talking about nitrous. he's saying the the tires are NOS (New Old Stock), meaning they are from that era, old school bias plys. original redline tires like those are NOT cheap. I gotta say the fast & the furious movie really screwed the pooch when paul walker uses the term "nos" referring to nitrous. NOS is a brand name "Nitrous Oxide Systems" so not all nitrous systems are NOS. Nitrous Express, or Zex for example. just a little heads up for ya :) hope that helps!

  • I think it's saying, "Come here little Hemi!"

  • Shut the fuck up cameraman!

  • @3333glen There's a bit of truth to what he said, though. The 1967 L88 Le Mans racers hit (and maintained) 188 mph for most of the Mulsanne Straight, and that was with a less aerodynamic body. GM offered a 3.07:1 rear with...I think it was the M21 (trying to think of a wide-ratio 4-speed manual from Muncie)? Anyway, the wide-ratio 4-speed and the 3.07 rear let the '68s and '69s hit 194 (GM claim). But, judging by empirical data from '67, I would say that's a safe bet.

  • nice man, lets put that next to my 70 true ss nova, my nova can burn tire up till 3rd gear, if im stoped i can put it in 3rd gear and floor it and it will curp

  • I think I said shut the fuck up, did I not say that?

  • SHIT I THINK THAT 69 CAN HANG AROUND NEWER Z06 ANY DAY OF THE WEEK

  • Pussy is nothing if you've a car like this

  • Great car. But I quibble with the uploader about it being a 200 mph car. It has the hp, but not the gearing or tires. For 200 mph, axle gearing would have had to be something like 2.50:1. I'll bet none of the vettes or other muscle cars even ran lower than abut 3.25:1, and lots had 3.70, 4.10 or even 4.30 gears, good for maybe 120 mph at 7000 rpm? I think a 1:1 final drive with 3.25 axle gave about 150 mph at 6000 rpm. No factory supplied tires would hold up to 200 mph with any safety.

  • @hartsickdisciple Read up on L88 corvettes. Just sayin'

  • Now THAT is a REAL BURNOUT...not some clown in a stock pickup truck holding the front brakes on and spinning the rear tires!
