Here is the long awaited review on Biotin 5000. My 6-month challenge was held from May to Nov. However, I bowed out after 4 months. Come see why? What's your experience?

  • I have cystic acne. The best thing I have found is tea tree oil. You can Burts Bees or even the oil straight from healthy stores. Just smooth it on once or twice and you will see what i mean. I take biotin for my hair and i think it works. You do need to drink a lot of water but that doesnt help cystic acne.

  • @babeinaz Thank you for that advice. What did the tea tree oil do for your skin. How much did you use and how often. I keep it on hand. I might start using that on my face

  • Oh baby, I can really feel for you on this acne thing. I had teen cystic acne then adult acne until I was 50. finally told my dermo that I was tired of this (didn’t those old sex ed. films say all this was to have stopped by 18???). also the darkened marks left all over my skin. I have very very sensitive skin. Have done the retin a routine, no good results. She prescribed two different scripts for me. And Voilà. No more active acne. It also looks like you may have some ingrown hairs.

  • @herjoy2 I don't believe I have ingrown hairs, but I know they are cysts. They hurt like hell.

  • I too was started using biotin 1000mcg and it made my skin complexion "worst" no bumps but like the appearence of wheps (think i jacked up the spelling) but i have since stopped using it and my skin seems to be clearing up...but anyway girl just make a appointment at your local dermentalogist and get a prescribtion and call it day....enough with the witches brew type stuff...

  • @coolazzchick1 Amen. Good advice.

  • the reason your skin is like that is because you didnt drink enough water..! BIOTIN IS A WATER BASED PILL LOL

  • @vball09cocoa i think the overwhelming sentiment is that if you take a lower dosage such as 1,000 mg and drink the recommended amount of water daily, for example 64 oz. of water, then you should be OK. I won't swear to it, but that does appear to be response from those who were successful with the product.

  • @amarige25 I know it sounds odd, putting oil on your face, but it works for me. My son had a friend introduce him to it with Burts Bees. I use the straight 100% oil you can purchase online or from health food stores like Sunflower or Whole Foods Market. Put a few drops on your finger or cotton swab and smooth it over the area. It is a natural antibacterial. Don't get too close to your eyes. That skin is extremely sensitive. It will burn & you'll be flushing with water to stop it.

  • You also MUST. And I do mean MUST go cold turkey on the carbonated drinks. Also just cut out the sugar in drinks as well. No sugar substitues either for a while. WATER, WATER, TEA and yet more WATER. Lawd I know it was hard.

  • I love pepsi. You WILL get fantastic results in less than a month especially when you go cold turkey and get on that water. After 6 months you may have 1 soda every blue moon. I do notice that I get a minute pimple or two if I drink soda. Ok very very occasionally if I drink more than 2, 20 oz sodas in a day. I wish you the best.

  • @amarige25 witch hazel is only a dissinfectent'
