Try out the next-gen trolleybuses operated by Translink, the transportation authority of the Greater Vancouver Area! These state-of-the-art New Flyer E40LFR trolleybuses are 100% emission free and produce very little noises when running. They will be replacing the aging Flyer trolleybuses in Vancouver.

  • Emmision free?, theirs got to be a back up deisel generator like SEPTA's new E40LFR's

  • Actually they use a back-up battery for auxillary power instead of a diesel engine.......so even if the poles are not attached to the wire, the bus can still run for a limited distance on battery power!

  • Since these buses don't have a track what would happen if they took a wrong turn off the overhead wiring?

  • The poles would come off, and they have to get back on track by running on EPU.

  • bus drivers are not supposed to help people with strollers, wheelchairs or bikes. something goes wrong, people sue. free country and all. that's why i stopped helping anyone. sad when you do good and it gets tossed in your face.

  • Man!! I thought this bus had a Stop Request sign but it's just that no smoking sign in front of the bus. Oh well... At least this bus has pull cords no tapes I hate tapes. It's all about Pull Cords!!!! It makes the windows look nice.

  • The seating capaciaty is much less than the D40LF's in Victoria.

  • DAMN I wish we had those in the AZ, United States but all we got is the non electric versions but that is much safer and more conveinent than using tracks or the battery
