Haha, my arm was so tight I was really shocked I even made that ball, that is why I got absolutely no shape and missed the kick by a mile. I am still a noob in pool but feel if I had it to do over again I would be less nervous. It was fun anyway. :-)

IMHO Earl "The Pearl" Strickland is the best and most consistent 9-ball player to ever live, not-withstanding he even has 400+ straight pool runs to his credit... Efren is great, but Mike "Captain Hook" Sigel is a better all around player than Efren and "The Pearl" has more 9-ball titles than both of them... Earl "The Pearl" Strickland was the first Pool Player to make a million dollars in a single year on tournament play alone... no small feat since Pool's biggest paydays are still sub-par.

The irony of Earl's story (which would have augmented it had he been aware of it and included it) is that, he, as well, often complains about the new era of pool.

What a great story and post FL. It is ironic that in this day of jump cues and phenolic that Earl is now the one dealing with a new era. I think Earl is my favorite player ever.

@betsummn9 justin bergman or tennesse hennesse lol are you serious they are totally different caliber they are both great players but earl is hall of fame world champion and has accomplished tons more than those players and deserves a little more respect than that no disrespect to those players but def not a fair comparison

@fastlenny69 The first time I played with a pro I did the same shit man. I look like you play well man. Dont sweat man, anyone that wants to talk shit would do the same thing. Playing Earl will cause even the best to freeze up. He is one of the best players that ever lived. Everyone talks shit about him saying he this or that, but do you ever hear of anyone putting up the cash to play him? Never. Efren might be the only one. In the long race, Earl beats anyone.
