The Gopher Rap (Both Sides) - Claire Swan

I have been getting a comments about my vlog for TheRockinVloggers, about how i decide to rid my lawn and fields of pests... well, there are two view points that the issue can be seen from. This is my view... i hope you take it into consideration.

Lyrics

Them gophers out there, they're tiny and cute but only when you seen them under the root. They're loud and noisy *ee ee ee* They're down underground and what?

How can you be hating on me when i provide you with luxury! The wheat for your bread and feed for your cows all gets to you how?

The farmers are working all day long. Whistling a tune or singing a song, when the gophers pop up and eat the wheat. Now do you think that they're so sweet?

The farmers all need some pest control, while they're sitting on their tractors burning petrol. (random ramblings)

The farmers don't have time to get them pests so they call on their kids who can get them best. They pull out their snares and water pails. These are the tools that never fail.

We kids are out there in the fields, using tall grasses as sun shields. Snaring them gophers one by one. How can you say that thats not fun?

You may say that its animal cruelty while your sitting there eating your BLT. Do you know what goes down in the butcher shops, while their giving them poor little piggies the chop?

They're chopping up the pigs while they're still alive. This info is useless, its just a rhyme. I get off track like everytime. Wait a second... where was I?

Oh right! I was talking about them annoying rodents and how they eat the grain for your buttered toast and cereal for your breakfast and pasta for your supper that you put in your tupper...ware!

Now do you see what the gophers are to me? Do you get the picture? Cute erased from memory? Maybe I should elaborate, and tell you more why i do hate.

They seem so innocent, cute as a peppermint. But they stink and smell, clog up the well. They just make me mad, and i make you sad. Is that so bad?

Now maybe i think i am superior to say that the gophers are so inferior, but i don't judge you! No matter who's who! We all just gotta do what we do!

This is the end of my gopher rap. Man Alive! Do i rap like crap! I don't mean to offend no gopher lovers, But you gotta see both sides, brothers.
