It doesn't matter if the background dancers are good or bad. It is all about having fun and enjoying life...not about being perfect. I would rather see background dancers like this then the boring 'perfectly choreographed' dances in western videos! Peace.

Were they really dancing at the temple?? I remember when I was in Laos I dance at the temple with all the girls wearing sexy dress too. I think the temple can not insist for a good donation.

just wondering, does EVERY Lao music video have the lyrics karaoke style and at least 4 badly choreographed dancers in the backgound? I have watched almost 15 different videos, and they are all the same. All the girls are beautiful and I love the singing (even though I dont understand it), Just wondering if this is the national style. If anyone could point me to some exceptional examples of Laotian music videos, I would really like that. Thanks

Hope I can help you here but due to my english limitation here are some answers to your questions. Lao people love the music and like to sing along so you may see most of lao music video in Karaoke style. With beer in your hand and beautyful girls dancing on yout TV, your beer will taste better that's what in the head of the video maker ( I guess ). There are some traditinal lao music videos that you will be noticing way different than the one you have seen, those musics will be very slow...
