2012- The EURO is still here and isent going anywhere

I do believe, the Countries of Europe have what it takes to go through the crisis without ending the Euro. After all the Euro is only a currency, it's not the economy itself. If the Eurozone survives, it will have undergone a huge stage of integration.
-
That is because the Euro politicians are hell-bent on "saving" the Euro currency with ever more bailouts. But the of the line is reached when Germany can not or will not pay any more.
-
Christine Lagarde was asked if the Euro would collapse in 2011, or whether the Eurozone would lose a member. I'm no fan of hers, but her prospective answer was right: the Euro has not collapsed in 2011 and the Eurozone hasn't lost any member in 2011.

If there were a run on US Debt a war would already be underway...probably with China. Before that there would be a lot of foreplay with the American public regarding the idea and the excuse would probably be about differences in who controls certain international shipping routes. (dejavu) You may be able to separate the governments from the debt but not the fiat currencies. They're all entwined and if the Euro or the USD were to go up in smoke that would affect all fiat currencies. Buy gold.

What a shame for such a fantastic economy such as Germany's. Picking up the the slack of the Euro, not to mention the United States. At some point the world needs to look and decide exactly what the US actually contributes, because at this point it seems like very little. What would happen if there was a run on the US debt?

I found this topic very interesting! Warren Buffett just came out and said the Euro will fail. I used to work in the realm of high finance with Hanover Brooks Panama and now am a writer: Here is my latest on the EU Zone Mess: To Read Google: "The Euro End: A Complex Domino Effect of Currency Death Explained"
