UFC - Randy Couture Workout for MMA Conditioning

Okay, so maybe not the exact Randy Couture Grappling, but I am quite sure that he would approve. This is the Funk version of the workout.

For all you TOUGH GUYS (or GIRLS) out there, if you want a challenging workout, or want to change up your boring routine, this is IT.

Anyways heres the workout.
Bent rows x8
Upright rows x8
Military press x8
Stiff Legged Deadlifts x8
Lunges x8 (each leg)
Squat x8
Deadlift x8
60 -90 second rest in between sets. Do 3-5 sets depending on how much you feel. I will tell you that 3 sets, I was absolutely dead.

  • @frankcruz69 Probably once per week...supplement it with your other workouts... All depennds on your goals and what you are training for.

  • hey mr. roberts, how do you determine how much weight to use. i am 6'5'' and only 204. my nutrition is stellar and I am just trying to put on more muscle weight. how do i gain more muscle mass but still have the endurance i require for my mma training.

  • @OdStGeNeRaLs This is the original grapplers circuit from when Randy was at Team Quest. Weight will depend on your size and strength level but I recommend starting low and progressing up for two reasons, 1) the circuit, if done correctly 6 rounds with no more than 60 secs. rest is brutal and fatigue doesn't really set in until round 4 or 5. 2), to master the movements and the flow. If you do this right, you will be dragging afterwards but it's a great workout.
