Madonna - Lucky Star [Confessions Tour DVD]

Almost two decades later, Lucky Star was performed live again, on the Confessions Tour. After the exhausting La Isla Bonita, Madonna crashes down on stage, but backup singers Nicki & Donna bring her back on her feet, covering her with a magical cape, which reads "Dancing Queen" on the back (another Abba reference, while the rest of her outfit is a combination of Agnetha's & Frida's from their late 70s tour). As Madonna opens the cape, the inside shows twinkling disco balls (lucky stars?). Madonna performs a great version of Lucky Star, sung over the instrumental of Hung Up, together with Donna and Nicki (the only time the backup singers get their part in the spotlight). At the end of the song, Madonna asks the audience if they want more and sings the chorus of Hung Up, then goes offstage for her final costume change, building up the anticipation for the encore.

I really don't care what you think or how much you paid, thats YOUR opinion, basically LUCKY STAR is an 80's track with an 80's beat, this is 3 songs in one, if thats what you like, GREAT, what does does getting with the times have to do with with wanting to hear an ORIGINAL TRACK played live, this is NOT LUCKY STAR, and if you think i need to come out of the 80's, maybe you should come out of your tiny cloud and realise that 80's fans ARE the true fans, and we DO embrace NEW material

@trvwatson I saw her at Madison Square Garden TWICE, paid $45. at the first and $55. second time. She did an appearance after the release of American Pie at Roxy in NYC and was NOTHING! If you want to see a cover band do a re-inactment of the original go to a drag show for God's sake! She is progressive and "expressing herself", thats what we love! So, twice in concert (and yes, my tickets were legal, from the box office) and free at the Roxy except cover. Get with the times and out of the 80s!

Its very easy to say that if you can afford the luxury of paying Hundreds to go see her show that is full of remixes--If she wants to shooozz up her songs, then she should stick them all on cd, im not even at her show and i feel conned.

How does this track even resemble Lucky Star, People WILL feel cheated and annoyed if someone keeps messing with the music they paid money to see & love, Nobody's asking Madonna to be Boring, we are asking her to stop disguising her new music through her old.

I hate Artists who FUCKING SHIT on their own tracks, all for the sake of making them sound more like their latest Album, This is why Madonna hasn't made decent song since Papa don't preach, When will we ever see a concert where she ACTUALLY sings the god damn song as it was recorded and loved and bought by the millions, my guess is never, How the fuck is this Lucky Star Madonna, stop conning your fans with shitty remixes, thats what single track cd's are for, NOT the paying public to your shows.
