Wow! I am so wanting to go to Switzerland now! Great vid!
-
beautiful... *sigh* it's so great to see that Middle Earth could actually be in our world.
I've been to Switzerland, but I did not know Tolkien had been there as well and may have gotten his inspiration for Rivendell there.

Breathtaking! Yes, I can see Rivendell. I like this video very much. I'm going to check your Lothlorien now..
-
I never knew a place like this existed... thanks for this gorgeous video! Can't wait to see the real Prancing Pony!

My uncle is from Swiss Alps.

Thanks Garry. Amazing! I don't have time today to read the books or go out searching for Rivendell myself. This did my elvish spirit well. I'm going to post on my FB for my Lord of the Rings friends.

How wonderful! I don't have time today to read the books or go out looking for Rivendell myself. But I needed a spot of fantasy to offset the mundane. This did my spirit so much good to see. It awakened my elvish spirit. Thanks Garry. I'm going to repost on my FB for the rest of my Lord of the Rings friends.

@baconsoda Wow, Joyce was one of the most impactful authors of my youth. Still have unfulfilled desires, today, of those readings. Haven't read him lately though.

Very nice... Makes me want to take a trip to Rivendell.
Here's some new material you can work with in your new studio...watch?v=zVwCaQHKkNQ
PS I've cycled past the Remarkable mountains in New Zealand which feature on the LOTR films, and had a beer and sausage and mash with onion gravy in the snug of the Eagle and Child in Oxord where C S Lewis and JRR Tolkein used to sit and talk dragons, elves and goblins with their fellow Inklings. But this valley tops that. Nice vid.

@stephenhayesuk Opposite Leeds university, where tolkien was proffessor of english in the twenties, there is an old pub called the packhorse inn, my old local by the way, and I am convinced that is the model for the Prancing Pony in Bree, the next time I go to Leeds I will make a video about it, thanks for the nice comments best garry

Have you any idea how jealous I was of the person driving along @ 1.48? And they probably take all that beauty for granted. I am jealous of you too. Also, how is it that the river has the perfect volume of water flowing at the perfect rate? What a magical place. Now the big admission...I hated Lord of the Rings, tried to read it about 20 times but it was like my attempts at Joyce, fruitless and frustrating. What a Philistine I am.
Best Wishes, Brendan.
