Wow! Thanks everyone! I didn't think anyone still watched this. And for the record, we did win 3rd, which is still really good.
Also one of the reasons maybe that the contest was held by the Fraser Institute. They believe more in privatization of government services and are generally opposed to public policy solutions like the ones expressed in our video. But it was still lots of fun to make :)
Oh and all editing credits go to Julie, she is absolutely phenomenal with a camera.

The Fraser Institute is so partisan it's not even funny.
-
Wow, this was great. I am impressed.
..and why didn't you win first place?
-
wow! how did the Fraser Institute panel ended up voting for this quality, non partisan, well informed, not free market obsessed but not bullshit deluded video?
Great job guys!!! Light years better then some of the post-secondary video!

Julie, Leah, Kimberly: I think your video vastly surpasses what is expected of students at the high school level. You've demonstrated not only technical and artistic competency with the mechanics of your video, but also a genuine knowledge and concern for the subject matter. I hope you consider filmmaking or broadcast journalism as a career path -- you have an exceptional talent.
