I replaced the stock rotor head with a Heli-Worx V1 FBL rotor head and tested my Walkera V120D02 outdoors. It was a rather cold and windy day (-10 degrees Celsius, wind 3 m/s). The heli is rather stable but one can see how wind is pushing it from left to right.

Still, it was fun to fly!

I like Heli-Works V1 rotor head a lot! It is simple and robust yet functional. Much better than the stock Walkera design.

Light wind is not really a big issue, especially with the wooden main blades. Cold weather is bigger problem because 1S batteries loose their power really quicly in cold.

  • You make it look like the wind doesnt even bother you at all.

  • Nice flying again! Do you like the V1 upgrade?
