  • should i get a sss or hss i play metal and blues and classic rock.

  • If you want to play metal, you're going to minimally want a humbucker in the bridge.

  • I would really like to know his opinion of this guitar. You tend to give pretty level headed and balanced opinions. My question is about the pickups. Some say they are good others say they are terrible (too modern of a sound). I really dig the classic rock and the blues in a SRV kind of way. Can you get this sound out of these pickups? Just thought I would ask since some of your vids you sa you love single coils, so I thought you would have a good point of view.

  • I think you can. Going through the twin, you could hear nice glassy articulate tones. Couple that with a tubescreamer and I believe you have pretty sweet SRV tones. The pups are probably a touch hotter than he used, but that lends itself to the versatility of this guitar.

  • i have a big problem , i bought a fender stratocaster highway one and i have real problems with tuning ! i cant do bends or use the whammy bar ! is every highway one like this?

  • You shouldn't have trouble with tuning, bends or the whammy. Did you buy it used? If so, the previous owner may have added a spring to the trem bar which would make it harder to bend or whammy but shouldn't affect the tuning.

  • The only complaint that I have about the Highway One is that the finish is very soft. I bumped mine into a warm stick of butter and it left a dent.

  • guitar center is the most anoying store to go to, to much noise. but at least you go there and play good music, you dont just shred with a wah pedal and seem like your good

  • Best fender production strat since 1968 hands down!

  • Any body own a 2007 single coil daphne blue highway one strat and only a 2007 daphne blue highway one strat the fender collectors are looking for this strat. There rare because daphne blue was used less than 1 year on the upgraded version highway ones.

  • @rafauleciaelcarpio

There's one strat which is designed for high-gain use. It's a hardtail Highway One Billy Corgan Signature model (very different pickups) than on nromal H1 strats.

  • @stratdem the 2007 highway one strats are lighter in

weight. my 2007 highway one sss strats are crafted

out of a 2 piece Alder body. if you look on other sights you

will see the 2007 highway one sss models are highly sought

after. and the 2007 highway one sss strat Daphne blue has sold

for $1,200 and more. the Daphne blue highway one strat was

    discontinued back in january 2008.

  • hello, no problem when using the lever?

  • @fabbob1234 if you want to play metal, your not looking for a strat, even if it has a humbucker on it ;)

    good luck!

  • so I do not like about this guitar that much out of tune

  • Hey frets, have you played one of the new American Specials? If so, how would you say they compare to one of these?

  • Shows how overrated pickups are

  • How about trying to play it through a Marshall amp
