When you donate your extra stuff, you help people in your community. Unemployment is at 10% in the United States, and this means that there are many families who need a little help right now.

I've got this old Benz that was hit by some rather large tree branches many months ago. As a result, the sunroof leaks, and the interior has begun to mold because the heater doesn't work. It's been sitting around for nearly four months, but it still runs like a dream.

If you have a car, or truck like this, and you don't need, or use it, please consider giving it to a trustworthy, non-profit organization who can part it out, and make a big difference for those who are less fortunate.

So many people have lost their jobs, and I am very greatful for the fact that as I type right now, I am not yet one of those people. I love this car, and I could fix it, but at a time like this, it just makes more sense to give it away. I have a roof over my head. I have food in my kitchen, and I have the clothes I need to stay warm. I don't need this car, and I'd feel like a jerk if I didn't pass it on to those who need the things I take for granted.

I gave a 97 Dodge truck to the Lions Club to auction off... they helped a lot of disadvatged people here in the Madison Valley with the money they got from that. I came away feeling like I'd done something.. I agree with you... Thanks 80's

I'm very glad that did your part, David. Surely, we can all do something, anything to help those who are suffering in our communities. Every last thing we can do makes a difference, and my thought is, if can can, then we should.

We have to help each other. It seems the government is to busy bailing out the people who donate to their campaigns, and helping government to grow. Only jobs being created so far are government jobs... seems to me. Would be nice if they got around to the people who's money they are so free with.

We should feel disgraced in the event that we don't help others while we can, David, I agree. As average tax payers, we do seem to give the most, and so I also agree that the government would do well to release the little guy from more debt than they are. All politics aside, I must say that governmental jargon aside, we do well to obligate ourselves to community service by doing what we can to increase opportunities for the other poeple who need what we have more than we do.

We all require certain things during our endeavor to be happy, BeautifulAngry. We honor ourselves, as well as our family when we are successful in our pursuit of both self, and community driven goals.

What some people overlook is the fact that they are in a position to help those far less fortunate than themselves.

If you look closely, you may just find that you're in a position to help. Give away those material things that will help others, and your heart will be forever strong.
