Local businessman Jeff Reasor presented the Northeastern State University Battenfield-Carletti Distinguished Entrepreneur Lecture on Monday, Feb. 23 in the NSU NET Auditorium. A 1973 graduate of Tahlequah High School, Jeff attended NSU for two years on a football scholarship before leaving school to work full-time for the familys growing grocery store business. Jeff learned the business from the ground up, doing everything from working pop bottles to managing stores. He even cleaned the bathrooms and mopped floors. Jeff became president of Reasors in 1998 and chairman and chief executive officer in 2004. He serves on the Board of Directors and the finance committee of Associated Wholesale Grocers out of Kansas City, the second largest Co-op serving independent grocers in the nation. Locally he is chairman of the Industrial Trust Authority for the city of Tahlequah.
