Allan Beswick chats to Scousers

Around the mid-late 80's on Red Rose Radio, Allan had some interesting conversations. It was assumed he had a problem with the Liverpool people, but it turned out to be 'an act'. Allan has no problem with Scousers.

Most Scousers are friendly towards outsiders, but if anyone starts 'playing-up' they will get a good hiding.

The fact is that most people are only this 'brave' towards Scousers when they are at a good distance. Partly due to their own propaganda in thinking all Scousers are up for a fight and partly because they've given it 'the big one' to Scousers before and got stung...badly!

I've met Allan a few times and he was fine - the hating scousers was an ACT. Also he hated Mars Bars - even though listeners sent in thousands, it was to stop the listeners sending in valauable gifts - which some of them did.
