Modern western marriage originated in a Temple....not a church. Even the bible outlines the Jewish origin of marriage.

Anybody who doubts the non-religious nature of marriage should visit their local Court House.....where a legal marriage license can be purchased by anybody with no regard, requirement, or preference for religion. Period.

please remember this, marriage is a religious act, started in the church, and therfore, there should be no laws governing marriage. gay or straight. Remember seperation of church and state? so instead of advocating for gay marriage we should be advocating to take the goverment out of marriage.period

I think gay marriage is seen mostly negative through political reasons. Such as the huge tax returns you can get while married And all that stuff. People could be straight and be like "bro lets get married, will split the money returns , u take 3k I take 3 k." lol
