Clois (Smallville) // Your Heart

Okay, so I've been on a little Clois hiatus...but since all of Season 9 AND that tremendous finale put me on cloud-9 I'm finally getting back to what I love and that's vidding my all-time favorite ship! This song in particular really hit a Clois chord and so I hope you'll all enjoy this one, it's really "Salvation" heavy. And yes, it kinda features a character death...but that's only a spoiler if you haven't seen the finale. And I promise the end is hopeful since we all know it can't stick =)

I envisioned the theme to be Clark's review of his life with Lois in the moments of his death. Those clips colored in B&W represent moments he's reliving/sacrificing as he's dying. If you notice the beginning clips are all in B&W, and intentionally so indicating that he's already gone. Those clips that come between in color signify his review of his last moments with Lois leading up to his death (like a countdown if you will). The moment of his fall when color fades to B&W signifies that exact moment of his "death". Lastly, the sequence at the video's end where B&W fades into vibrant color represents Clark's "re-birth" as he fully accepts his destiny and becomes the hero we know him to be.

Ultimately the video is meant to convey the depth of his sacrifice. He recognizes that he'd give anything to stay with Lois but understands that his calling to protect/save mankind (and her) supercedes any selfish desire he has to remain with her. It's his ultimate sacrifice and the last hurdle he overcomes in realizing his destiny.

Or at least that's what I was goin' for...

Oh, and to any of you who haven't yet seen "Salvation", shame on you! LOL. j/k But seriously, you don't know what you're missing...do yourself a favor and mosey over to iTunes and get caught up!

VERY NICE....Love the song and yes, it's got a great slow-tone to it; quite romantic. Love your choice of black & white plus where you put some coloring spots. Overall, I like that it told a quick summary of the whole season 9. Thanks for sharing! :)
