Where do you get this in the UK? There aren't many in the UK/seems easier to do this first than go into MMA
-
At least there are some sensable Mat areas

@MMAfanFORsure you mean descendants, not ancestors since judo came after jujitsu not before
-
@hazard2000 no,its a ruleset very like mma with lighter contact and no ground and pound, its not strictly any style.
-
@MMAfanFORsure only novices assume that, the vets know bjj is judo with newaza emphasis

JA Sport Jujitsu competition is open to all styles, providing equal opportunity for competitors from any style, whether striking, throwing, grappling, or ideally combining all, to compete successfully. We've been very pleased to have outstanding competitors from many styles of jujitsu, judo, hapkido, karate, tae kwon do, kenpo, kajukenbo, and others compete successfully at our events. So, it's not necessary to train in any singular method, but instead according to your own best practices.

some useful leg lock techs are not avaliable in sport jj

True enough. The JA Sport Jujitsu rules allow for straight-line knee-bars and ankle locks, but not rotational locks on those joints in competition. The compromise is for competitor safety.
