Lord I Took A Life Today

There are 3 ways we can legally kill in the United States. Killing always leaves a dark hole in the human soul no matter how much it can be justified. I wrote this song for a MUSIC FOR LIFE concert I did in Texas. It is the heaviest song I ever wrote. This song is about forgiveness. Here's to all the soldiers, law enforcement officers and frightened young women who need healing. Remember you are loved.

furthermore, does the fact that a baby starts as a so-called fetus give anyone the right to deny it the chance to grow, anyway? there is no doubt at least that when a baby is born it is baby, right? no one is going to say, well your baby is born but you don't want it and since it is not a working adult, its life is meaningless so the law permits you to kill it. -OF COURSE NOT! I guess what I am saying is we all start the same way. who cares what they call it!!!!! Who cares about name for it -

all I care about is how this world has become heartless - we rely so much on information, research, politics, etc. to help us formulate an opinion that we forget not only how powerful our opinions are but how better off this world would be if we listened more to our hearts. Look into the eyes of a newborn baby and tell me that those little eyes looking back at you are not just a smaller and just as worthy reflection of your own. so does it really matter how that baby started in the womb, and

there is no one in this world that is unworthy of experiencing life. if it is just a fetus to you, well ask yourself this, what if you were just that little piece of "flesh" torn from life and thrown away? It is not about politics or religion. it is simply a matter of the heart. I have been through some pretty damaging things, but I am so glad to be alive. when I see how the world sees a helpless baby in the womb-disposable, I no longer care about the scientific/political/philosphi­cal aspect

all this talk of "a baby vs. 'fetus' "...I have learned that everything has a purpose. that a child of rape has a purpose, has a right to live, to experience all of the good/bad things of the world. think about all of the good things in your life, love, happiness, friendship, growth, etc. and imagine being denied that right.
