  • How would you use "meiwaku wo kakeru" in a sentence?

Also, you keep on talking about a 'western way of thought' and make it seem as if people in the west never put others before themselves or try not to be a nuisance.

Maybe it's just you who is irresponsible and does not care about other peoples' feelings. I don't think this "meiwaku" thing is only Japanese. It's just that they have a name for it and other cultures don't.

  • @ZMSouma it's very mature to see you say that i am irrersponsible when you don't know me at all. i never said it was only japanese but once you live in japan you will realize that even though japanese culture has things that all cultures ultimately have the differences can sometimes be very large. i won't say anymore and just hope you'll experience it for yourself one day.

  • Such an honest video... thank you for sharing.

  • I feel like I really understand it. I've always put others before me and try to not be a nuisance/hassle to others. I just find it hard to believe that you can't really understand it.....do you get me?

You're vids are really interesting though. Keep em coming :D

  • it's sort of strange, but i think i've experienced something similar with my own mom. my parents are from pakistan, but i don't think i'm very pakistani at all, growing up in the US. but my mom, sometimes she does get angry about little things, things we would think are little. sort of similar to what you experienced, i think, but not to the same extent as japanese. おもしろいですね。

  • Thanks for the video--I think it's really good to understand "meiwaku wo kakeru" especially as I plan to do exchange at Kansai Gaidai next year.

    たいへんですね!

  • wow. thanks so much for sharing your experience with this! quite the out-of-the-box topic, but it's extremely interesting..
