Not one of my better videos, this is mainly to show that both of these units work. I believe the MKS-80 is a Rev. 4 (SN: 460xxx). The MPG has some rust spots, but still works as it should. Synth requires standard 2 prong power cable (not included) and programmer requires 6 pin DIN cable (not included). Both units are now sold.

  • Are you going in circles in purpose???

  • @chrisgimeno What do you mean?

  • @zibbybone It seems as if you are going similar things over and over again without an specific sound in mind.

It would be better if you start from a plain sin wave to a nice pad, groovy bass or another rich sound.

Nice synth anyway, take care of it!

  • @chrisgimeno If you read the video's description, you will see that this is on;y a video to show that these units work correctly since they were for sale (I sold them about a year ago). I'm showing that all the buttons and sliders work. I still have my Rev 5 MKS-80 and may make a "proper" Supe Jupe video in the future. A "Jupiter Family" (I also have JP-4, 6 & 8) video is on my immediate to do list - so stay tuned (that means subscribe)!

  • It's a shame that there really is no musical demonstration of sounds here. I understand that the poster is/was trying to sell his synth, and simply trying to demonstrate functionality, but I suppose it's our loss, the viewing audience, that there really isn't much more. It seems like 70-80% of the sounds heard are odd oscillator/filter noise combos, showing little of this synth's modulation potential, which some of us would like to be convinced of before deciding whether or not to pursue one.

  • @ABCRE2 Not quite. The MKS-80's sound is closer to the Jupiter 6. I ave all 4 Jupiters (4, 6, 8 & MKS-80) and plan to make a video with all 4 soon. Be sure to subscribe.

  • That's about as annoying as most of the modular synth demos.

  • Sounds thin and toyish next to A Yamaha DX7 MK 2

  • @thesearethesuns INTERNET: GIVE ME WHAT I DESERVE

  • mstrkrft uses this and the tr707 in just about every song they do!!!

  • that programmer is in shocking condition....

  • @zibbybone i'd really like to see some good mks80 vids with demo's of pads and bass sounds =)

  • mmm some thing i'd rather keep to myself at home lol

  • This synth is such a damn hoss. Nothing but fat fat analog gooeyness.

  • @maccagrabme A video of all 4 Jupes? Not yet, that is still on my list of things to do. Not much time being widowed with 2 boys. The JP-6 is my all time favorite poly, mainly becasue I've had it the longest (15+ years) and know it very well. Also, I'm a sucker for multi-mode filters. Stay tuned, more videos coming!

  • @zibbybone Did you ever get around to making that video comparison? I'm sure a lot of people would find it useful. Which one would you say is best? Thanks
