I agree with you, but right now Ogaden people are the once that are tregeted by the Ethiopian gov. @Mohraaso Sxb I only replied to give you the facts about your misinformed opinion of the struggle in the Ogaden which is "Ethiopian" against "Somali" not the other way around.You may have some issues about the ONLF which I dont understand but the truth is they represent the only force which is protecting the rights of the people and I think its rather cheap to be ignorantly throwing insults at an entity you clearly dont understand.Its not about opinions but about debating rationally.

Having understood the advantages the "Ogaden" label can give the struggle we can now see why we must put-forth our political programme in this respect.It has nothing to do with clan, the "ONLF" the organisation fighting for the liberation of the region has made there objectives clear that they wish to liberate "all Somalis" from the oppression of the Ethiopian regime.So the Somali people must align themselves behind this programme to achieve our objective then we can move beyond this stage.

For the reasons I have stated in my other comment this name has come to represent the region because of its convenient association, this has given the legitimacy that names like S.Galbeed have failed to achieve.Considering the recognition this has recieved and the political advantages that can be scored through this on the world stage by proposing what seems to be an indigenous struggle, this gives us the political legitimicay an irredinist name like S.galbeed cant
