WHAT A GREAT GROUP HE WAS JUST GREAT ]

Lonnie was the first blues singer not to be American and opened the doors for all European blues singers. He was a great singer and performer and I would not be recording blues CDs in Ireland without him.

Did Lonnie live in Chiswick west London at some point ?

Too bad that Lonnie is gone, it's really hard to hear good music like this nowadays.

Almost 50 years. Lonnie recorded this number in 1956 for his "Showcase" album, but I just played the 1956 record and there are differences. Also, on this video that's Pete Appleby with the tambourine, so I would guess c. 1961-62. Wonderful to see and hear this old song again. Lonnie was a wonderful performer and a great bloke whom I met several times. As 'battleleader12' wrote, It's so sad that he died (eight years ago now). He ought to be still entertaining us with his music.
