@PoindexterSmith what kind of plastic is that? im preparing to make a carbon fiber hood for my car since they do not make them for the model I have, so I need a plastic like this that can form to tight spaces and has the ability to wrap around small corners. but alas I have no clue on plastics but its gotta be better than using fiberglass to make a negative.

very nice, why the plastic sheet inflates like a ballon before the piece come from the bottom? is for optimizing the contact surfaces betwen the piece and the plastic sheet???

Yes - that's correct. after IR heating of the sheet, inflating the space underneath the sheet before the male surface is introduced reduces tearing given the deep draw.
