Honey Bee Swarm Capture

Nice sized swarm showed up in our tree. The brach was too big to cut or bend down to the box, so we used a white sheet on a table and a box. Bee swarms are on the hunt for a nw home so if you offer them one, they'll probably take it. Bees will be attracted to the dark entryway of the box and will march right in.

Don't exterminate... They Pollinate!

20 days later... I put another brood box on for thse girls today, found the queen, and marked her. They are great workers. Lots of new bees, lots of 3 and 7 day brood, and 2 full boards of honey! I'll check em again in a month and hopefully have to add a honey super!
