I grew up reading Marvel comics in the very early '60's and Jack Kirby's art always fascinated me along with the artwork of Steve Ditko, Gene Golan, and John Buscema. There was just something that was dynamic and powerful about anything Kirby drew. What his granddaughter is attempting to do here is something that I am sure he would be very proud of considering the fact that she is only 16 years of age. God Bless you Jillian in honoring your Grandfather in this way....

Obviously they weren't too stupid if they hired him to do the New Gods after kirby quit working for Marvel.

Jack created the Marvel design for Thor. The winged helmet, the blonde hair, the tunic with the four dots, the yellow and black tiger striped boots. Basically the design elements put in to nearly every iteration of the Marvel Thor. The funny thing is, he came up with the design while he was working on a DC character he co-created, the Golden Guardian. Good thing DC was too stupid to realize what they had when Marvel created the Thor series.
