Hey thanks for sharing this song! I've really gotten into Irish music the last few years,maybe that's strange because I'm Canadian with mostly Hungarian background.....
btw I think your playing is excellent & sos your singing.
I could actually understand every word of this song for the 1st time, even tho I've heard it so many times before.

Who cares about the accent. You're right you do have to sing it that way, as it should be. Should Filipino cover bands sing in Tagalog because their American accents are off? Boulder-bash... Should William Hung not sing because he has an annoying Latino American accent? I say keep on rocking in the free world.

I can't believe all if you people are poking fun of the accent. I learned it off a cd of irish drinking songs.
The people who poke fun of me because of that should be ashamed of themselves. At least someone is trying to keep this music alive.

You can't sing those songs with an American accent. You almost have to sing them like that. Thats what gives them character.
Thats actually me playing. My brother uploaded those videos of me. And I have Irish ancestry. My Irish accent isn't the greatest but besides that I'm not that bad.
