Oh, I have felt your pain with the loss of being able to read. I've come back significantly from major brain fog issues. Don't know that I'm 100% yet, but in the 90's anyway. When I first started treating last year I became semi-house bound and I was surrounded by thousands of books, and neither the ability nor the inclination to read them. As I started to clear up a bit I tried to set myself a goal of a couple of short stories a week & quiz myself about what was in them. It will get better.
Wrote a Lyme disease brochure with the help of 2 Lyme specialists. Will email to anyone interested.
