This is a slide show of pics I took during the installation of a capacitor kit for the Wells-Gardner K7197 chassis that came in my Mortal Kombat 1 arcade machine. The monitor was dim and a little fuzzy, so I hoped this would remedy the situation.

  • I need a picture of the hardness from the power transformer!..my dog chew it!..I believe their are 3hardness!..1with 3cables and another with 2cables and their is another one that has more!..I need a pic of the one that has more!..i would really appreciated!...

  • @xxsurcentralxx Sounds like you mean from the "Isolation Transformer" in the bottom of the cabinet, right? I'll try to get one taken by tomorrow. Will have to pull the cabinet out from the wall and remove the back panel. How did your dog get at that? Lol!

  • Hey I have the same arcade!...my dog chew on the hardness of the power transformer!..could u send me a picture of how it goes connected pls?...to rm.jr81@yahoo.com!...

  • @xxsurcentralxx Now what EXACTLY do you need a pic of again? Please explain further.

  • Check your "SCREEN" adjustment on the flyback (look at 5 min. in this vid if you don't know what that is). The SCREEN adjustment is always the BOTTOM knob. It may be set too high, which usually also causes horizontal lines every few inches to appear across the screen. If that doesn't help, check the signal wires & their connectors coming from your game board. Check the chassis for cracked solder joints. Check that the neck board is firmly seated. Lastly, try a cap kit/flyback replacement.
