No, this is not a Paul song. It was written by Julian & some of his songwriting buddies. Julian is very talented in his own right. Why do people have a hard time believing that? He is John Lennon's son after all. You should check out some of Julian's more recent work like his album "Photograph Smile".

John wasn't a very good father to Julian. I think Julian was angry that John walked out on him and didn't pay the slightest bit of attention to him. I know the feeling of having an inattentive father.

The problem is that no one wanted to see Julian, they wanted to see John. Julian has his own sound and style, yes he looks a LOT like his father and sounds similar, but Julian had his own ideas and his own sound. I think this song was about John, it was released as my own dad was dying of cancer. I buried my pain in his music. Julian could have been very popular, if everyone had stopped comparing him to John. Goddess knows we can't have a son more popular than his father who had an icon status.

After John was muefered, it was like Julian was his reincarnation. The similarity to his Dad was startling and comforting all at the same time. I think that's why he was embraced so hard in the beginning. We wanted John back and we got him in Julian.

You think this was leftover from John and Julian recorded it? If you knew anything about how badly Yoko has always treated Julian, you would also know that there is no way in hell Yoko would allow Julian to record one note of his father's works. People all over the world are dying to hear Julian record his father's best solo and Beatles songs as a tribute album, but Yoko is a greedy bitch! John's legacy to Julian is how he failed Julian as a father ... a legacy that lives on through Yoko!
